To strengthen our team of experts at our client in the radio and communication industry we’re looking for an Operational QA Manager for Application Software Development (m/w/x) for a permanent position at K-tronik.

Tasks:

• QA Delivery Planning and Quality Enablement-> provide operational oversight of QA delivery across embedded Scrum teams and support backlog refinement and sprint/release planning
• Test-Management & Release Coordination -> oversee all test phases (unit through acceptance), handling everything from test plan preparation and daily release tracking to coverage analysis and final reporting
• Interface Function & Collaboration -> acting as the central point of contact for coordinating testing-related topics across internal development teams (e.g., ELINT, COMINT), external partners, and offsite QA teams in Singapore and India.
• Process Monitoring & Defect Management -> oversee process compliance and quality standards, managing the bug-tracking lifecycle and Defect Review Boards to ensure effective prioritization
• Review Management & Reporting -> manage technical reviews and documentation checks, utilizing quality metrics and dashboards to provide transparent reporting on project status
• Continuous improvement & Strategic Implementation -> operationally deploy QA strategy, refine testing and automation practices, and act as a feedback loop for the Lead QA Manager to consistently increase quality and delivery speed

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification with a focus on Software Engineering.
• Experience: Several years of professional experience in quality management of complex system software and pool of quality specialists. Experience in the development of distributed, real-time systems or embedded software is a significant advantage.
• Domain Knowledge: Ideally, you have knowledge in the field of signal processing, radio technology, or signal intelligence (SIGINT).
• Methodology: Proficiency in test automation tools and ALM tools (e.g., Jira, Xray, Confluence, or Jama). Experience with agile (Scrum, Kanban) as well as classic V-model processes.
• Analytical and Decision-Making Skills: A structured, detail-oriented way of working and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical contexts and makes evidence-based recommendations under time and delivery pressure.
• Personality: You are a team player with a hands-on mentality who enjoys managing the operational details in the background to ensure smooth execution.
• Languages & Communication: Fluent in German and English (due to the nature of the project). Demonstrated ability to communicate quality information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Uses lessons learned and performance data to improve quality outcomes and promotes innovation
• Security Clearance: Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement and undergo a security clearance (Ü2/Ü3), if required.
