Project description:

Are you passionate about technology? So are we!
To strengthen our team of experts at our client in the defense industry, we are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Power Electronics (m/f/x) for a permanent position at K-tronik.
We look forward to getting to know you personally—and to working together with passion and team spirit on exciting projects and cutting-edge technologies.

Tasks:

  • You will analyze stakeholder requirements, platform specifications, and existing system solutions, and use them to derive complete, consistent, and verifiable requirements
  • Coordinating functional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, reliability, and maintenance requirements is also part of your area of responsibility
  • You will define and manage the interfaces to the guided missile platform, adjacent subsystems, and test equipment
  • Based on the system requirements, you will develop the system architecture, be responsible for the functional allocation of system functions, and prepare the corresponding technical budgets
  • To establish a sound basis for decision-making, you will conduct trade-off analyses and evaluate various solution approaches in terms of performance, risks, lifecycle costs, qualification requirements, and supply security
  • In doing so, you maintain requirements, justifications, and assumptions, and ensure their end-to-end bidirectional traceability throughout the entire development cycle
  • To ensure successful system integration, you define verification strategies and coordinate integration and qualification planning across multiple departments
  • In addition, you evaluate changes, deviations, and nonconformities in terms of their impact on the overall system

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent vocational training
  • You have several years of professional experience in systems engineering for complex, multidisciplinary products
  • In addition, you have in-depth knowledge of requirements engineering, interface management, system architecture, and verification planning
  • Ideally, you have already gained experience with requirements management or modeling tools
  • Your strengths include structuring complex and ambiguous issues and communicating them across departments and organizational units
  • You are known for your meticulous and methodical approach to traceability, configuration management, risk management, change management, and technical documentation
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industries, as well as in other regulated development environments, is particularly welcome. Ideally, you also have knowledge of relevant safety standards, environmental qualifications, and military standards, such as MIL-STD-882E, DO-254, DO-160, or DIN EN 61508
  • You have very good English skills for collaborating in an international environment; knowledge of German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work
