Project description:

Are you passionate about technology? So are we!
To strengthen our team of experts at our client in the defense industry, we are looking for a Test Engineer - Power Electronics (m/f/x) for a permanent position at K-tronik.
We look forward to getting to know you personally—and to working together with passion and team spirit on exciting projects and cutting-edge technologies.

Tasks:

  • You will analyze requirements and use them to derive appropriate verification methods, test cases, acceptance criteria, and end-to-end traceability
  • Based on system and product requirements, you will develop verification plans for prototypes, development samples, and qualification and acceptance activities
  • In doing so, you will define the necessary measurement and test equipment, test fixtures, loads, interfaces, and requirements for test automation
  • Your responsibilities also include the development, commissioning, and continuous refinement of test setups for power supplies and power electronics modules
  • Together with development and systems engineers, you will support initial commissioning, integration, and technical troubleshooting
  • You will conduct functional, performance, interface, robustness, and environmental tests with great care, ensuring they are performed safely and reproducibly
  • When deviations occur, you will analyze their causes using root-cause analysis and verify the effectiveness of defined corrective actions
  • By creating and maintaining test specifications, test procedures, and test reports, you ensure traceable and standards-compliant test documentation and work closely with qualification laboratories

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification or training
  • You have several years of professional experience in testing electronic hardware
  • We require in-depth practical knowledge of setting up and operating test systems for power electronics modules for this position
  • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, power supplies, and data acquisition systems is part of your toolkit
  • You also have a good understanding of measurement uncertainties, grounding concepts, galvanic isolation, and laboratory safety requirements
  • You stand out for your experience in requirements-to-test traceability as well as in the creation of formal test documentation
  • Ideally, your profile is complemented by knowledge of Python or comparable scripting languages for test automation
  • Experience with safety standards, environmental qualifications, and military standards—such as MIL-STD-882E, DO-254, DO-160, or DIN EN 61508—is also an advantage
