To strengthen our team of experts at our aerospace client, we are looking for a Senior System Engineer / Requirements Engineer – FPGA & ECSS (m/f/x) for a permanent position at K-tronik.

Tasks:

  • Identifying, clarifying, and documenting FPGA requirements in collaboration with technical stakeholders.
  • Defining and documenting appropriate verification methods for each requirement.
  • Reviewing and improving the FPGA development workflow in accordance with ESA’s ECSS standards.
  • Reviewing development plans, verification plans, and test cases to identify gaps, risks, and potential obstacles.
  • Supporting risk management and preparation for upcoming ESA audits.
  • Ensuring consistent and traceable requirements and verification processes.
  • Advising engineering teams on the implementation of ECSS-compliant development processes.
  • Working closely with the systems engineering, FPGA/hardware development, and quality assurance teams.
  • This position focuses primarily on the areas of systems engineering, requirements analysis, and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in systems engineering and/or requirements analysis, ideally in the aerospace industry.
  • Extensive practical experience with ECSS standards, particularly ECSS-E-ST-20-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-60-03C.
  • Strong technical understanding of FPGA and/or ASIC technologies.
  • Experience in requirements management, verification, and validation, including the creation or review of related plans and documentation.
  • Experience reviewing development processes and technical documentation, ideally in preparation for customer or ESA audits.
  • A strong analytical and structured approach, as well as the ability to communicate and coordinate technical requirements with various stakeholders.
