Project description:

Are you passionate about technology? So are we!
To strengthen our team of experts at our client in the defense industry, we’re looking for a Software Test Engineer (m/f/x) for a permanent position at K-tronik.
We look forward to getting to know you personally—and to working together with passion and team spirit on exciting projects and cutting-edge technologies.

Tasks:

  • Development and implementation of automated tests (e.g., using Python/pytest) for complex software and system interfaces in the SigInt environment
  • Design and implementation of test strategies and test plans for components, subsystems, and entire systems
  • Hands-on execution of automated tests as well as targeted manual tests
  • Analysis, reproduction, and systematic tracking of defects, including debugging at the code and interface levels
  • Close collaboration with software development and systems engineering at the code and architecture levels to ensure quality early on
  • Development, maintenance, and enhancement of test frameworks and test infrastructure
  • Active participation in the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins), including the integration of tests, reports (e.g., Allure), and quality gates (SonarQube)
  • Working with development tools and processes such as Git, code reviews, build tools (Maven/Gradle), and IDEs
  • Continuously improving test automation and development processes within the team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, communications engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field, or equivalent vocational training
  • Professional experience in software testing, ideally with safety-critical or complex systems
  • In-depth knowledge of test design, test methods, and test documentation, preferably with ISTQB certification or equivalent
  • Experience with common testing and bug-tracking tools, as well as, ideally, with test automation (e.g., Jenkins, Pytest)
  • Proficiency with Linux-based systems and complex IT infrastructures is a plus
  • Experience working and communicating within interdisciplinary teams
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
