We are looking for a Mission Systems Architect / Systems Engineer (m/f/x) in a permanent position at K-tronik to strengthen our team of experts at our customer in the field of measurement technology.

Tasks:

- Design and further development of system architectures for ISR and mission systems (EO/IR, radar, data links, mission computers)
- Definition and specification of system requirements (requirements engineering) at overall and subsystem level
- Ensuring the seamless integration of heterogeneous systems (hardware, software, sensors, networks) at architecture level
- Creating interface definitions and system designs for airborne and ground-based segments
- Analysis and optimization of end-to-end data flows (latency, reliability, interoperability)
- Close collaboration with integration, software and hardware teams to implement the architecture
- Support with verification & validation at system level (concept and design reviews)
- Ensure compliance with aviation and regulatory standards in system design

Qualifications:

- Degree in aerospace, electrical engineering, computer science or similar
- Several years of experience in systems engineering of complex systems (ideally mission systems / avionics / defense)
- Experience in: System architecture & system design, requirements engineering, interface definition (ICDs)
- Understanding of ISR systems, sensor technology and communication systems
- Analytical, structured way of working
- Experience with standards / certification (e.g. DO-178, DO-254) an advantage
- Fluent English and good German language skills
