- Characterization of MMICs and RFICs in the micro- and millimeter wave range (>100 GHz)
- Carrying out on-wafer measurements using wafer probers (e.g. MPI)
- Setup, operation and optimization of RF measuring stations (VNA incl. extender, probe stations, load-pull / noise if necessary)
- Carrying out and evaluating S-parameter, power and linearity measurements (e.g. IP3, P1dB)
- Application of calibration and de-embedding procedures (TRL, SOLT, LRM)
- Analysis and interpretation of measurement results and derivation of design feedback
- Automation of measurement sequences and data evaluation (Python, MATLAB)
- Support with silicon bring-up and validation of new designs
- Coordination with internal teams (design, test) and external partners if necessary
Qualifications:
- Degree in electrical engineering, RF technology, microelectronics or physics or comparable training
- Several years of experience (approx. 5-8 years) in the characterization of MMICs / RFICs
- Sound knowledge of RF and millimeter wave measurement technology (>100 GHz)
- Practical experience with wafer probers and on-wafer measurements
