To strengthen our team of experts at our customer in the defense industry, we are looking for a Software Engineer (m/f/d) for Embedded Software in a permanent position at K-tronik. Tasks:

  • Specification, design and development of software for embedded systems
  • Collaboration in the definition of the software architecture and detailed software design
  • Implementation of the operating software in C/C++ using a model-driven approach
  • Carrying out hardware/software integration activities
  • Responsibility for the creation and maintenance of software development documentation
  • Development of PC-based software tools for special type test equipment
  • Software verification and validation at software and system level
  • Definition of test procedures and documentation of test results
  • Close cooperation with the systems engineering, hardware/firmware development and algorithm development departments

Skills:

  • Completed studies (at least Bachelor) in computer science, engineering or a comparable technical discipline
  • Very good knowledge of the programming languages C/C++
  • Experience in software development with Visual Studio as well as MFC or Qt
  • Professional experience as a software engineer in complex software projects for embedded systems
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Another plus is:
  • Knowledge of network programming
  • Experience with serial interfaces (RS422, RS485)
  • Knowledge of bus systems
  • Experience with avionics interfaces such as MIL-Bus or ARINC 429
