To support our team at our customer in the radio and communications industry, we are looking for a Development Engineer MANET for FCAS radio communication systems (m/f/x) for a permanent position at K-tronik as soon as possible. Tasks:

• You will develop future, broadband and self-organizing radio networks based on smart antenna technology
• Your activities include design, pre-definition, simulation, verification (proof of concept) and development through to series production
• The focus of your development activities is the design of concepts for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANET) for innovative communication systems with directional antennas and decentralized network management
• You will develop algorithms for the combination of MANET, graph theory and multicast/broadcast
• You implement and evaluate the concepts and algorithms in the network simulator OMNEST with the INET framework
• You will create the specification and architecture on a functional, logical and technical level
• You will develop the advanced design of code structures for the communication system

Skills:

• Degree in communications engineering, computer science or mathematics or a comparable field of study
• Knowledge in dealing with modern communication protocols, such as WLAN, 4G, 5G
• You have good programming skills in C++, Python
• You are familiar with the network simulator OMNEST and ideally also with the INET framework and MATLAB
• Independent working style and committed, team-oriented way of working
• You have a confident manner combined with strong communication skills in a national and international environment
