Characterization Engineer (m/f/x) for ASIC/MMIC Job in Duisburg

Project description:
As a characterization engineer, you will develop the test environment for RF measurements on complex mixed-signal ICs used in measurement devices and telecommunications technology. You will not only develop the measurement setup but also perform the verification of the ASICs and MMICs yourself.

Tasks:

• Characterization and qualification of mixed signal ASICs and MMICs
• Development and improvement of measurement setups with respect to performance and measurement accuracy
• Planning as well as time and cost estimations of the measurement setups
• Execution of complex RF measurements in coaxial environment and with in the microwave and millimeter wave range
• Automation of the measurements in the context of characterization and qualification
• Performing data analysis and documentation as well as DUT/measurement setup debugging in close cooperation with the design team

Skills:

• Degree in electrical engineering with a focus on RF technology or comparable education
• Good knowledge of RF measurement techniques and the theory behind them such as: Calibration and deembedding techniques
• Experience in object-oriented programming with Matlab
• Basic knowledge in the field of integrated semiconductors
• Hands-on attitude and solution-oriented way of working
• Fluent German and English
