Project description:
We are looking for a passionate electronic design engineer who will work on the full product life cycle implementation and certification of custom airborne electronic hardware units. Those modules will then be integrated and installed into a novel electrical aircraft, with focus on propulsion and vectoring control systems.


Tasks:

  • Design and development of electronics hardware equipment for electric propulsion control
  • Specification of hardware requirements and implementation of the full development lifecycle according to SAE ARP4754A, DO-254 and DO-178C guidelines
  • Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to validate functional, safety and performance requirements, analyse the verification results and define verification metrics
  • Contribute to safety assessments such as FTAs etc.
  • Work together with program management regarding activity planning and responsible for milestone achievement and program deliverables
  • Act as an interface between Electronic Hardware and Software team for topics like project planning, design and system integration of Airborne Electronic Hardware units

Skills:

  • University degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as hardware design engineer in the aerospasce industry
  • Experience with digital and mixed-signal design, e.g. control/communication boards and FPGA/SoC development
  • Good knowledge of the aerospace hardware design life cycle in compliance with DO-254 guidelines
  • Skilled with schematic design and circuit simulation tools such as Altium Designer, Zuken, LTSpice or comparable
  • Experience with safety critical systems and applications in civil aircrafts
  • Fluent english skills

also beneficial is:

  • Experience with power and analog systems design and integration, e.g. power electronics or battery management systems
  • Fluent German or other language skills
  • Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178C and ARP4754 guidelines
