Project description:
This position will contribute, as part of an integrated cross functional team, to the electric and electronic systems architecture, design, certification, and delivery of a next generation eVTOL. You will have a chance in shaping the future of mobility by not only defining Antenna and RF system architecture, but also by developing components and co-ordination with regulatory partners and suppliers.


  • Development of antenna and system requirements for communication, navigation and surveillance systems in an aircraft
  • Continuous evaluation of installed antenna performance, including electromagnetic compatibility and hazards (EMC), risks during the antenna placement/co-location and interoperability analysis for mitigating interferences between aircraft system
  • Integration of RF system components like transceivers, antennas, etc. in the aircraft system and structure considering functional and safety aspects following certification requirements, standards, and guidance
  • Development of novel antenna concepts
  • Assist in procurement for 3rd party antenna and component suppliers


  • Completed studies in physics, electrical engineering or a comparable education
  • Strong knowledge in RF engineering, e.g. propagation, interoperability, modelling techniques, modulation, etc.
  • Professional experience in antenna development and writing requirements specifications (VHF, SATCOM, GNSS, XPDR, DME, RADALT, VOR/LOC, GS, MB...)
  • Good knowledge of EMC/EMI analysis for RF systems and components
  • Experience with antenna installation, interoperability and performance on vehicles, aircraft or similar applications
  • Knowledge of environmental qualification processes for antennas and RF components, preferrably according to DO-160
  • Fluent english skills
  • Proactive and target-oriented workstyle a well as the ability to work in teams

a big plus would also be:

  • Professional experience in systems engineering and/or requirements management
  • Experience with aerospace standards like DO-160, DO-254, ARP4754 or similar
  • German or any other language skills
