IT Systems Engineer - Infrastructure & Operations (m/w/x) Job in München

Project description:
As an IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer you will manage day-to-day operations in our cloud/datacenters in regards to setup, configuration and operations of virtualization layer, hardware, firewall, proxy, load balancers, IDS and operating systems. Also part of the role is working closely with cross-functional departments e.g. Design Architects, Service Design Specialists or Second Level Support Engineers in Service Delivery & Operations.

The IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer is working closely with Design Architects, Service Design Specialists, Application Engineers and Second Level Support Engineers in Service Delivery & Operations and can have expertise/focus areas towards network.

Tasks:

• Setup and operations of virtualization layer, including Vmware, VMs etc. as well as operating systems
• Setup and operations of hardware, including HSM, servers, clusters and storage
• Setup and operations of firewalls, switches, routers and load balancers
• Plan and execute changes to the IT infrastructure, including coordination, planning and notification about changes
• Manage physical and logical access to configuration items
• Setup and operations of monitoring dashboards
• Managing document cloud/datacenter routines (e.g. incident, problem, change, periodic reviews)
  

Skills:

• Professional experience with installation and configuration of IT hardware, e.g. firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers
• Thorough understanding of network protocols such as BGP, TCP/IP, OSPF
• Good knowledge of Linux, preferrable RHEL or RH Satellite
• Know-how in complex software/infrastructure solutions as well as ITIL processes and Service Management
• Good knowledge of virtualization with VMWare products, e.g. vCenter, vSphere, PowerCLI
• Skilled in RedHat and Ansible
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Quality-conscious and problem-solving mentality with good communication skills

als a big plus would be:

• Experienced with tools like Nagios/Icinga, Commvault, Splunk, Terraform and/or Jenkins
• Service specific knowledge related to payment, telecommunication and OEM solutions
• Fluent German skills
