Project description:
As a software development engineer you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge aircraft control and monitoring systems. You will join a team of engineers designing operating software and application software, which is working on next generation controllers for electrical and conventional aircrafts.


Tasks:

  • Development of safety-critical realtime software for aircraft systems according to RTCA/DO-178B
  • Specification of high- and low-level software requirements
  • Design and implementation of new components in embedded C
  • Support of integration, testing and verification activities
  • Software documentation and creation of "Statement of Works"
  • Rework and improvement of existing software products

Skills:

  • Graduate Software Engineer or equivalent education
  • Experience with software development according to DO-178
  • Good programming skills in embedded C and/or Assembler
  • Hands-on experience with a scripting language, e.g. Python or Ruby
  • Knowledge of high- and low-level software requirement (SRS, SDDD) specification in DOORS or a similar tool
  • Experience with a debugger, preferrably Lauterbach T32
  • Fluent English skills written and spoken

a big plus would also be:

  • Experience with hardware in the loop test facilities and IBM Rational Test RealTime
  • Knowledege of MISRA guidelines (C)
  • Configuration management know-how with SVN, IBM Rational Synergy/Change, Serena Dimensions or similar
  • Fluent German skills
