Electronic Hardware Engineer - Aerospace (m/f/x) Job in Weßling

Project description:
We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to join our aerospace team working with on an exciting client project in Munich. In this role you will be part of an interdisciplinary project team which is responsible for the design of the electrical system of a state-of-the-art electrical aircraft.


Tasks:

  • Capture, author, link and validate hardware requirements for the equipment which makes up the aircraft electrical system
  • Support and lead detailed design of power electronics equipment
  • Contribute to safety assessments such as FTAs
  • Consult with engineers of other disciplines, for example software and systems engineers to guide the design

Skills:

  • University degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent (MSc/MEng preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the aerospace, automotive or railway industry
  • Experience of power electronics, high voltage (up to 1kVDC) and semiconductors within electrical systems
  • Experience in aerospace certification procedures and hardware development lifecycle according to RTCA/DO-254
  • Experience with Schematic capture and PCB layout board EDA tools
  • Experience with grounding, shielding and EMC design techniques
  • Experience with power and analog systems design and integration such as system energy distribution, switched mode power electronics design or battery management systems
  • Strong motivation to help build structures and processes
  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously
  • Fluent English language skills

  • Strong knowledge of DO160
  • German or any other language skills
