Project description:
As a Development Engineer - Electrical Machine for the Propulsion System, you will be part of an interdisciplinary Team responsible for the design of various components of a state-of-the-art eVTOL. From mechanical or composite parts design to mechanical systems development you will play a key role in bringing an innovative aircraft to life.
Tasks:
- You are responsible for the design of a high-performance electrical motor and optimize required aerospace parts and assemblies throughout their lifecycle
- You will develop motor specification documents and be responsible for requirements engineering
- You will work on simulating and analyzing motor performance
- You will work together closely with engineers of other disciplines, especially regarding manufacturing of your designs
Skills:
- University degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the aerospace industry
- Strong knowledge of motor design and electrical machines
- Background in aerospace requirements/systems engineering and ARP4754
- Basic knowledge of PDM/PLM systems is required
- Knowledge of DOORS or a similar requirements management tool
- Fluent English skills
- Excellent understanding of general design principles and technical correlations
- Strong motivation to help build structures and processes
also beneficial would be:
- Experience in designing integrated electronics products or actuators
- Experience with Teamcenter is beneficial
- German or any other language skills
