Quality Engineer for Mechatronic Systems (m/f/x) Job in

Project description:
As a quality and product manager, you will be responsible for quality assurance, series support and further development of mechatronic systems for future vehicle generations. As part of the quality management team, you will take over the technical leadership for all quality improvement measures of integral components and actuator modules.


  • Your responsibilities range from project decision to series deployment, series support, model maintenance (minor & major updates), discontinuation and spare parts topics (hardware) or upgrade capability & downgrade compatibility (software)
  • You create technical reports including initial samples and are responsible for the QPN as well as the 2TP acceptance of hardware components
  • You define quality requirements (e.g. reliability, damage limits, release standards), assess the quality capability of processes and track the quality development of components and modules over the entire product cycle
  • If required, you will carry out quality analyses on vehicles, (functional) systems, parts and software components on site at suppliers" premises
  • You are responsible for the documentation, processing and analysis of all data & information of the QA activities in order to initiate measures and focal points for quality improvement
  • You are the first contact person for QA topics both internally and towards suppliers


  • You have a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology or comparable and have at least 5 years of automotive experience in product or quality management
  • You have experience with creating technical reports, especially with UML notation, proof of concepts, mock-ups and wireframes
  • You have experience with the Qualification Process New Parts (QPN) and 2TP acceptance as well as the Product Development Process (PEP) in the VW/Audi environment
  • You have good knowledge of regulatory standards in the automotive and production industry (e.g. UNECE, SAFE) and are experienced in supplier and stakeholder management
  • You have a good basic knowledge of mechatronic systems in vehicles and a good understanding of test methods for software and hardware modules
  • Fluent German and also English skills are absolutely necessary
