Electrician for Test Rigs (m/f/x) Job in Wessling

Project description:
As Electrician you will work with a team of test engineers on all electrical Test Rigs and Test Beds for an eVTOL application. Your scope of work will include the electrical installation of i.e. Battery and Engine Test Beds but also the installation of the electrical set ups for tests. In the battery test team you will work on test set-ups for cycling and thermal runaway test beds. You will support the team and give feedback for improvement.


  • You will build up test set-ups for Low Voltage testrigs up to 1 kV (AC & DC)
  • You will operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic and measuring equipment
  • You are responsible for assembly & maintenance of electrical Test Beds/ Rigs and workshop, including the build of small power switching stations and perform soldering work
  • You will additionally work on circuit board design
  • You are responsible to recognize trends and patterns in failures and give feedback to the responsible teams
  • You take responsibility for maintaining an inventory of parts, tools and equipment
  • You organize work, procure necessary parts, and complete accurate documentation on repair actions completed
  • You work on any ad-hoc related projects or tasks provided by management


  • Educational background as Electrician or Electronic technician or comparable
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in development and assembly of control cabinets based on standard components
  • Ability to work with verbal and written instructions depending on situation as well as with complex and detailed documentation
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Professional experience in the application of standards as e.g. DIN EN 61439-x (VDE 0660-600), IEC 60364-x, VDE 0100-series
  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomous
  • Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem solving skills
  • Good English language skills
