Development Engineer for Control Cabinets (m/f/x) Job in Weßling

Project description:
As an development engineer you will work with a team of test engineers on electrical test benches for an eVTOL application. Your area of responsibility includes the electrical installation of e.g. battery and motor test benches. In the battery test team you will work on test setups for cyclic and thermal runaway test benches. You will support the team and provide feedback for improvements.

Tasks:

• You will be responsible for the development, assembly and maintenance of control cabinets for low voltage test benches up to 1 kV (AC & DC)
• You will design control cabinets and switch gear from scratch, select components and carry out soldering and assembly work
• You will take responsibility for maintaining an inventory of parts, tools and equipment
• You will be responsible for organizing work, procuring necessary parts for the test benches and documenting repair and maintenance work

Skills:

• You have successfully completed training or a bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a similar field and have at least 3 years of experience in the development and assembly of control cabinets
• You have several years experience with EPLAN CAD/CAE tools or similar software used for designing switchgear and control cabinets
• You have good knowledge of standard electrical components and hands-on experience with DIN EN 61439-x (VDE 0660-600), IEC 60364-x and VDE 0100-series norms
• You are used to working with complex technical documentation and have a good understanding of manufacturing instructions, electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings
• Ideally you have some experience with batteries and battery testing
• Fluency in English is a must-have, German or other language skills are desirable
• You love technical challenges and have a goal driven work style
