Project description:
The "Platform Software Sensors Computer" department at the Ulm site is concerned with the development of embedded software for specific I/O drivers, interfaces, board support packages (BSP) and built in tests (BIT) for various processor types and operating systems. Design, development and adaptation of platform software for computers and digital subsystems as well as the development of test software for hardware bring-up, integration, test and verification of digital hardware components are part of the department"s tasks.


Tasks:

  • Analysis, specification and design of laboratory and integration test equipment (hardware and software) for digital hardware assemblies
  • Specification and development of test software and scripts in PERL for HW bring-up and execution of Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and HW Verification Test Procedure (VTP) of digital assemblies
  • Creation and execution of test requirements and automated test cases
  • Cooperation in the integration of digital subsystems
  • Documentation according to the required standards (e.g. in-house)

Skills:

  • Completed master"s/diploma studies in electrical engineering, communications engineering or comparable
  • Detailed special knowledge in software development with C# and PERL
  • Detailed knowledge in software development with C/C++
  • In-depth knowledge in the development of test software under different operating systems on embedded systems (e.g. VxWorks 7, Linux)
  • Knowledge in developing software drivers for various interfaces (e.g. 10GB Ethernet, ARINC429, UART, MilBus, CAN, GBIO, SPI, I2C, PCIe) desirable
  • Knowledge in handling software engineering tools (e.g. Eclipse, DOORS, DIMENSIONS, JIRA, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.) desirable
  • Several years of experience in specification and development of laboratory and integration test equipment (hardware and software) for embedded systems
  • Strong knowledge in specification, creation and execution of test requirements, stress test software and automated test procedures for digital assemblies
  • Strong capabilities in hardware acceptance testing of embedded systems
  • Good communication skills to ensure the flow of information
  • The ability to integrate into a team
  • High degree of responsibility, resilience and organisational talent
  • German and English at least business fluent
