Project description:
As Linux Kernel Developer (m/f/x) you will be part of a team that is characterized by its enthusiasm for embedded systems and its know-how for automotive software. You will develop innovative embedded software for high-tech cars to master the challenges of the future in terms of mobility, connectivity and autonomous driving.


Tasks:

  • You are involved in very demanding projects, especially in the area of car sharing and Connected Car or Connected Gateway
  • You customize the Linux kernel and various bootloaders (e.g. U-Boot)
  • You correct security gaps in the Linux kernel, keep up to date on security-related topics and contribute your knowledge to the development process

Skills:

  • You have a degree in computer science or a comparable education and at least 4-5 years of experience in Linux kernel development
  • You are enthusiastic about modern programming languages and have excellent knowledge of software development in C as well as experience with C++
  • You have a good understanding of processor architectures, especially ARM and PowerPC
  • You show willingness and interest in working with operating systems, especially embedded Linux
  • Knowledge of other programming languages, e.g. through private or open source projects is a big plus
  • Know-how of network protocols such as TCP/IP, CAN or Ethernet as well as good knowledge of low-level programming are also desired
  • Fluent English is a must-have, good German skills are an advantage
  • You love technical challenges and are willing to work in a performance-oriented environment
